FAQ
Q. How do I know if I need a windshield replacement or windshield repair?
A: Minor windshield damage can be mended before it spreads. The repair process is possible when only the outer layer of the laminated safety glass is damaged and the chip is smaller than a quarter. If the damage appears in the driver’s line of vision, the windshield will need to be replaced.
Q: Can I safely drive my car immediately after a windshield installation?
A: No. Driving your car after an installation could be a fatal mistake. The adhesives that hold your windshield in place take time to set up. This could take between 2 and 24 hours depending upon the weather conditions. Warm and wet conditions allow the adhesives to set up faster. It will take longer if its cold and dry.
Our technicians will tell you exactly when the vehicle is drivable. If you have any questions regarding this will be happy to answer them because your safety is #1 to us.
Q: Is all glass the same?
A: All glass is not the same. In most cases the best glass is the one the manufacturer installed in the car when it was new. Aftermarket glass tends to be thinner. As a result, it can be broken easier.
